Stuff that makes my life Easier

So I'm in Love with my Electrolux Egorarapido 2 in 1 floor vacuum.  I have help keeping my house up, but I try to keep things as clean as I can.  This Vacuum rocks.  It's upright, light, cordless, and a back saver.  I keep it next to the cat litter.  Somehow, my wonderful cat can through her litter over 10 feet.  This vacuum is very handy and allows me to keep my hardwood floors clean in between housekeeping days.  I don't know what I'd do without it.  Probably nag my husband to death about the litter on the floor.  It also has a detachable hand held vacuum attached.  I can't say enough about how much I love this thing, so I'll go ahead and shut up about it now.  I've included a link to the site.  Just wanted to pass along information on something I find very handy .

Heat

Announcing an addition to the bed.  A King size bed warmer.  Think of a Giant Heating Pad.  You can control the temperature on both sides.  With the recent cold snap here it helps keep the muscles warm.  That is all.

Don't Cry For Me

Hope this works.  One of my all time Favorites!

Barometer

So if your body is anything like mine, you are a walking barometer.  The weather around here is 80 degrees one day and 30 the next.  Feel it in my bones.  I often wish the weather would just pick a temperature and stay there.  I guess this would be the "Venting" part of this blog.  On that note, I'm going to work it out with some dancing.  Drop it like it's hot!  Oh yeah, I went there!

Act Like a Cat

A good stretch does wonders for my body.  Even something as simple as pointing my toes.  One of my favorite stretches that I miss doing since the Rods were placed in my back was a sort of praying stretch.  Get on your knees (if you can)  and place you head to the ground with your arms laying backwards palms up.  This opens up a lot for me.  Sometimes positioning your knees together or far apart for deeper stretching.  The key is this should feel good, at the first twinge of pain stop.  It's your body letting you know it's not a good idea. I can do a modified version of this now as I am learning how to work my new body hardware.  I also find while standing in the living room putting my leg up on the back of the couch and just resting it there helps as well.  There are a lot of stretches that help alleviate some of the more "every day" pain.  Don't push it, just relax into the stretch.

I'm New

So here I am with my own blog.  Big time.  Any who, I have found that people have many different ways of dealing with pain.  I'd like to share some things I've learned along the way and learn some things from others on their way.  I hope this will be an open and helpful forum for those dealing with pain and the loved ones trying to understand.  It is a lifelong journey and I hope we can help each other along the way.  I am not a doctor, but I am an authority on all things me.  I'm new to this blog thing, learning as I go along.  I'm a bit tired now, but will hopefully post something helpful or at least humorous tomorrow.  I hope there is a spell check on this thingy. Found it.
